Day 1
TUXTLA GUTIÉRREZ AIRPORT / SUMIDERO CANYON / SAN CRISTÓBAL
Welcome to Tuxtla Gutiérrez! (Service starts at 10:30 AM.)
We’ll begin with a boat ride through the awe-inspiring Sumidero Canyon, navigating between its towering cliffs. Afterward, we’ll visit the charming Pueblo Mágico of Chiapa de Corzo, known for its rich history and traditions.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to San Cristóbal de Las Casas.
Settle in for the night.
Children under 1 year old are not allowed on the boat tour.
Day 2
SAN CRISTÓBAL / EL CHIFLÓN WATERFALLS / MONTEBELLO LAKES / SAN CRISTÓBAL
Today we’ll visit the stunning El Chiflón waterfall, known for its powerful 120-meter cascade.
We’ll continue to the colorful Montebello Lakes, surrounded by lush vegetation and vibrant hues that vary with the light and minerals.
Settle in for the night in San Cristóbal de Las Casas.
Day 3
SAN CRISTÓBAL / INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES / SAN CRISTÓBAL
We’ll visit the indigenous communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán to discover their unique traditions.
In Zinacantán, we’ll be welcomed into a local home to witness traditional weaving on a backstrap loom, taste posh (local liquor), and enjoy freshly made tortillas.
Free afternoon upon returning to San Cristóbal.
Settle in for the night.
Day 4
SAN CRISTÓBAL / AGUA AZUL / MISOL HA / PALENQUE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE
Early departure (3:30 AM) to visit the spectacular Agua Azul waterfalls, where you’ll have time to refresh and explore the walking trails. (Box lunch en route.)
Next, we’ll stop at Misol-Há waterfall with its dramatic 30-meter drop. Finally, we’ll explore the majestic Palenque Archaeological Site, surrounded by jungle and rich in Mayan history.
Settle in for the night in Palenque.
Day 5
PALENQUE / YAXCHILÁN / BONAMPAK / LACANJÁ CHANSAYAB
Early departure (5:30 AM) to Frontera Corozal, where we’ll navigate the Usumacinta River to reach the mysterious archaeological site of Yaxchilán.
We’ll then continue to Bonampak, famous for its remarkably preserved Mayan murals.
We’ll end the day in Lacanjá Chansayab, staying in rustic jungle cabins and enjoying a traditional dinner.
Settle in for the night in Lacanjá Chansayab.
Day 6
LACANDON JUNGLE / PALENQUE
We’ll hike through the Lacandon Jungle to visit a waterfall known as the “Bat Pool” and explore the lost city of Lacanjá, guided by a local who will share insights on the region’s flora and fauna.
After lunch (included), enjoy free time before returning to Palenque. (Pickup around 5:00 PM)
Settle in for the night in Palenque.
Day 7
PALENQUE / LA VENTA MUSEUM / VILLAHERMOSA AIRPORT
We’ll travel to Villahermosa to visit the La Venta Museum, home to a remarkable collection of Olmec artifacts. After the visit, we’ll transfer you to the airport or bus terminal.

Arrival at Tuxtla Gutiérrez Airport must be before 12:00 PM, and departure from Villahermosa, Tabasco should be after 5:00 PM.
We recommend bringing light and comfortable clothing, sneakers, sunscreen, insect repellent, and warm clothing for your stay in San Cristóbal de Las Casas.
